I will change your modeling workflow in Cinema 4D.
Hello and welcome to my first blog post! My name is Patrick Pax, and I am the founder of Patrick Pax Mediadesign. In this post, I would like to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my journey as a 3D artist.
First of all Patrick Pax is of course not my real name, but an artist name. Actually, my first name is Patrick, but my last name is not Pax, it's Schmitt. When you read this last name you might think of the great Chris Schmidt who has been making a name for himself in the Cinema 4D community for many years. That's the problem, because I didn't want any confusion with our surnames, so I decided to use the stage name Patrick Pax. Incidentally, Pax has been my nickname for ages, derived from my first name.
For almost 20 years I have been a passionate Cinema 4D enthusiast. 3D modelling, design and animation are my absolute passion which led me to start my own company Patrick Pax Mediadesign. My focus is on creating interactive generators for 3D modeling to help my customers work faster and more efficiently without compromising quality and control.
Creation of time-saving solutions for Cinema 4D
It's important to me that every Cinema 4D user, whether hobbyist, student or professional, can get started with my generators immediately. In my opinion, its ease of use and user-friendliness differentiates Cinema 4D from its competitors such as Blender, Maya and others. I took this user-friendliness and clear user interface as inspiration for my generators.
As a long-time Cinema 4D enthusiast, I've always appreciated the user-friendly design of the software. When I first opened the program at the age of 16 I found the interface intuitive and easy to navigate. Because of this, I was able to teach myself how to use Cinema 4D from scratch. In my opinion, Cinema 4D sets the standard for every program, plugin or generator in terms of simple and intuitive operation, which is what I orientate myself on.
My professional and academic journey
After training as an office clerk and studying business administration at the university, I worked in the marketing and graphics department of a local company for three years until the birth of my first daughter. It was at this point that I realized I needed to pursue my true passion in life. I started with a position at Maxon, where I still work today. As part of quality control, I make sure that Cinema 4D keeps running smoothly and smoothly.
While working at Maxon, I returned to university to pursue a bachelor's degree in Time-Based Media in the beautiful city of Mainz. After successfully completing my degree, I am also currently doing my master’s degree here.
But back to my bachelor’s degree, because it was here that I developed the House Building Generator (HBG) as my thesis, a prototype that will be ready for the market in a few months. The HBG is designed to help users create custom homes for their 3D scenes in record time while maintaining full control over the design. I look forward to sharing more about this exciting development soon!
As I look forward, I see a bright future for the world of 3D modeling and animation. With advances in technology, the possibilities for what can be created in this field are virtually limitless. However, I also believe that user-friendly design will continue to be a key factor in the success of any 3D modeling software or solution. As the field becomes more accessible to a wider range of users, it's important that the tools we use are easy to learn and easy to use.
Balancing job, family, studies and self-employment
One of the biggest challenges in 3D modeling is achieving a balance between quality and efficiency. As a designer or animator, you want to create visually stunning, high-quality work, but you also want to be able to get it done quickly and efficiently. This is where user-friendly tools come into play. If the tools you use are intuitive and easy to use, you can focus more on the creative aspects of your work.
In addition to my career and academic pursuits, I am also a husband and father to three wonderful children. Balancing family life, work, university studies, and my own business can be a challenge, but it's a challenge that I'm happy to take on. I understand the value of time and how it can be used effectively. That's why I hope my generators, such as the HBG and the upcoming Desert Generator, can help others save time and improve their workflows.
Conclusion
In summary, I'm excited to be a part of the Cinema 4D community and excited to be able to offer my own solutions to other enthusiasts. Whether you're a hobbyist or a professional designer, I believe my easy-to-use generators can help you achieve your goals faster and more efficiently. From my own experience, I know how valuable time is and that you shouldn't use it up in the wrong place.
That was a bit about me and my journey so far. Thanks for reading and I look forward to sharing more about my work and passion for 3D modeling and animation in future posts.
